NetworkIQ (“we,” “us”) is a cold-outreach platform for finance recruiting. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.
By signing in or using the platform during beta, you agree to this policy. NetworkIQ is a beta service—features, data handling, and retention may change, and we'll update this page when they do.
This policy applies to users who sign in with Google and access the platform (currently invite-only beta), and to visitors of our marketing pages who have not signed in.
Google account information
When you sign in with Google, we request the openid, email, profile, and gmail.send scopes. We receive your email address, name, and profile information, and we store your OAuth access and refresh tokens server-side so we can send email from your Gmail account when you explicitly choose to send a queued message. We do not read your inbox, sent mail, or labels, and we never see or store your Google password.
Resume data
If you upload a resume, we store the PDF file in private cloud storage and extract its text using Google Gemini so we can personalize outreach. Extracted text and, if you use the resume extraction feature, structured fields like education, GPA, top finance experience, extracurriculars, and technical skills are stored in our database.
Outreach content
We store the email templates you create (name, subject, body), the template you have active, and the outreach status you set for each firm (e.g. Not Contacted, Contacted, Waiting for Reply, Replied, Followed Up).
Generated and queued email content
When you draft an email, the recipient, subject, and body are generated server-side and, while queued, kept temporarily in your browser's local storage on your device so you can review and send them. This queue is cleared once an email is sent or removed.
Beta access
Your email is checked against an invite allowlist to determine whether you can access the platform during this beta.
Data sent to Google Gemini
To personalize outreach and extract resume text, we send your resume (or its extracted text) along with contact name, title, firm name, and firm tags to Google Gemini for processing. We do not use your data to train our own models.
Gmail API usage
When you click Send on a queued email, we use the Gmail API to send that message from your Google account, including any resume attachment you selected. You should always review the recipient, subject, and body before sending—sent messages appear in your Gmail Sent folder as usual.
We do not sell your personal information, use your resume or emails for advertising, or share your outreach statuses with other users.
We use session cookies to keep you signed in and to store your encrypted session, including OAuth tokens, server-side. We use browser local storage to persist your in-progress send queue on your device. We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.
We share information with service providers who help us operate NetworkIQ: Google (sign-in, Gmail, and AI processing), our hosting provider, our database provider, and our rate-limiting provider. We share only what is needed for them to perform these services.
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or security. If NetworkIQ is acquired or merged, user data may transfer as part of that transaction and we'll notify affected users.
We do not share your resume, templates, or outreach statuses with other NetworkIQ users. Firm contact information in our database is business contact data we compile for recruiting purposes—not your personal contacts.
We retain your account data, resume, templates, and outreach statuses until you request deletion or close your account. Your send queue is stored locally in your browser until you clear it or the item is sent or removed. Server logs are retained for a limited period as part of normal hosting operations.
We don't yet offer a self-serve delete option. To request deletion of your account and associated data, email hello@networkiq.com from the address tied to your account, and we will delete or de-identify your data, except where we must retain records for legal compliance.
Our hosting provider automatically collects standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps. If a resume upload fails, our error logs may include your email, filename, and file size to help us debug the issue. We do not log the contents of your emails.
Resume files are stored privately, not publicly accessible. Database access is server-side only, and credentials are never exposed to your browser. OAuth tokens stay in server-side sessions, and Gmail calls use short-lived access tokens. All traffic is encrypted in transit, and platform access during beta is limited to an invite allowlist. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
You can:
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to correct inaccurate information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
If you are located in the EEA or UK, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection with respect to your personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
NetworkIQ's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing features described in this policy—sign-in, sending email you explicitly authorize, and resume-based personalization. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not allow anyone to read your Gmail content except with your affirmative agreement, for security purposes, to comply with law, or for internal operations where data is aggregated and de-identified.
Personalized lines and resume extractions produced by NetworkIQ are automated suggestions and may be inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing all outreach before sending it. AI output is not legal, career, or compliance advice.
NetworkIQ is currently invite-only, and access may be revoked at our discretion. Features and data practices may change during beta without notice, though we'll update this policy when they do. Draft credits are a beta usage limit, not a billing commitment. The service is provided “as is”—beta data and AI copy can be wrong, so read everything before you send.
NetworkIQ is intended for college students and working professionals engaged in recruiting. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided us with personal information.
Our marketing site and firm records may link to external websites, such as firm sites or LinkedIn profiles. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post changes on this page with a new “last updated” date.
Questions about this policy, or requests to access, correct, or delete your data, can be sent to hello@networkiq.com from the Google account you use on NetworkIQ. See also our Terms of Service.
